Halo Removal Surgery #18 scheduled

Braylee's surgery to remove the halo will be September 16th, this will be surgery#18!! Normally when they tell me the date for surgery my heart drops to the bottom of my stomach and basically stays there until after. This surgery I think it only dropped part way and has a bit of a rollercoaster effect. I'm so happy we're almost on the other side of this surgery and process but it's another time under anesthesia. It will be a really quick procedure, only about 15-30 minutes and then we get to go home that same day.
A couple weeks ago I started to notice what looked like the base of the pin that starts to go into her skull. I immediately sent a picture to her surgeon and he called and we talked it over and decided to stop cleaning with peroxide for the time being and see if it helps. Her skin is just so sensitive the peroxide was most likely just eroding her tissue around the pin away. Her spot hasn't gotten any worse, so we'll just keep going with no peroxide unless absolutely necessary. We just have to keep her super clean from here on out. There always had to be some kind of curveball thrown at us.

We're just trying to enjoy the last little bit of summer since school starts in 2 weeks. Only 32 days until the halo is behind us!!
