Day #21 Post-Op. 7/9/24

We're 3 weeks in and Braylee is doing amazing! She got her staples removed a week ago and she got around 85 staples removed, give or take a few!! That's crazy!! She's eating great, pretty much non-stop. I can't seem to get her full even though she's eating full meals like us. Has to gain all of that weight she lost back. 

We've hit a little snag with her incision. It opened back up just a little bit a few days ago. It wasn't open to the bone so that's good. It has clotted back up and we're just going to keep an eye on it and if it gets any bigger we'll have to go in and get her a couple staples. 

She has a little hole around one of her pin sites that's getting a little bigger, so we're trying to keep that clean and not infected. Her surgeon said it looks ok and that it can happen if the halo moves a little. 

So just a few things we have to keep an eye on. She's always keeping us on our toes. 

She already looks so different and her breathing has improved immensely. We had a very long day last week and we got to the hotel late the night before her staple removal and she usually snores so horribly loud after a long day like that. I didn't hear anything. She slept so peacefully it was amazing!! 

We'll hopefully have a removal date on our appointment July 25th.
